PSA – Prostate specific antigen
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men, especially as they get older - but it often develops without obvious symptoms. Certain risk factors, like being over 50, having a family history of the disease, or being of Black ethnicity, can increase your chances. Our PSA Blood Test measures prostate-specific antigen, a protein that can rise when there are changes in the prostate, including cancer. It’s a simple and proactive way to keep an eye on your prostate health and catch potential issues early — before they become harder to treat.

What's in the test
What we measure:
- PSA (Total) - Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) is a protein produced by the prostate and released into the bloodstream. While elevated PSA levels can be a sign of prostate cancer, they’re not exclusive to it - non-cancerous conditions like an enlarged prostate or inflammation can also cause a rise. That’s why a PSA test on its own can’t confirm or rule out prostate cancer. In some cases, cancer may be present even when PSA levels are normal. Still, it remains a valuable tool for monitoring prostate health and guiding further investigation when needed.
